Iranian American performer and songwriter Bobby "AUDacity Pershen will be performing at VANGUARD in Hollywood with international pop star ARASH on July 4th. AUDacity, who is best known for his single Jay-Z's Girl, will be playing songs from his new release "The Cool Tape." Some of the other acts include DJ Peyman Z, DJ Kash, DJ Saeed G, and DJ Dr. T.
According to Los Angeles Review News, "Performer Bobby AUDacity Pershen puts classic hip-hop, politics, and humor together to create a mix of music unlike his contemporaries. The Iranian American artist and activist uses his music to demonstrate equality and justice for the Iranian people. One of AUDacity's trademarks is to wear a Free Iran t-shirt when performing in front of thousands of fans. His music is satiric but has a deeper meaning."
AUDacity will also be giving free samples of his new cd "The Cool Tape" to fans at the show. Some of the new material on the release include the song Captain AU, and the tribute to Michael Jackson called "We'll always love MJ."
