The Richard Pryor story has been in the works for years and finally the heads of the film has been announced. The biopic film will be produced by Chris Rock and Adam Sandler. The film will cover Pryor's life from his childhood to his rise in comedy and his struggle with drug addiction.
The late comedian had hand chosen Mike Epps to play him in the lead role, but Chris Rock stated that Marlon Wayans was born to play the lead role. "Marlon Wayans, he did a screen test and it was just unbelievable," Rock told MTV News. "It's not just doing the comedy of Richard Pryor. He captures the vulnerability of Richard Pryor."
